    Bernardino Ondo Abaga Ada and Juan Zacarías Okue Ondo Mbang, two international students in their third year of studies at the Faculty of Technological Management and Innovation, came to study in St. Petersburg four years ago from Equatorial Guinea. In an interview with ITMO.NEWS they told us about how they took preparatory courses and learned Russian, how they entered the bachelor's program and some of the peculiarities of studying in Russia.

  • Leading Russian Universities Open Doors to International Students

    An intellectual competition for future international Master’s students, the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project, is kicking off soon, with registration of participants beginning on Nov. 20, 2017. Winners will get an opportunity to study tuition-free, courtesy of the government of the Russian Federation, at Russia’s leading universities. The subject areas include Mathematics, Physics, Computer  Science and Economics. The contest is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and is organized by the “Global Universities” Association.

  • New "Get Local" International Students Club

    ITMO University has recently launched a new international student club called "Get Local". This club is geared towards English-speaking international students from around the world, particularly those participating in exchange programs and english-language Master’s programs. The working language of the club is English and it will complement the existing International Students Council where most of the international students are from Russian-speaking countries, and therefore the working language is Russian.

  • Japanese Exchange Students Share Impressions of Russia

    ITMO University was visited by 18 students from 10 Japanese universities as part of a Japanese-Russian youth exchange program. The program was initiated by Junior Chamber International Japan, which also invited ITMO University to participate in the program for the 8th time. Earlier, a group of 18 Russian students, including students from ITMO University, had gone on a similar trip to Japan. During their visit to Russia, the guests from the Land of the Rising Sun were given a tour of ITMO University and went sightseeing in St. Petersburg. They also spent five days in Moscow where they learned about the Russian higher education system. Speaking to ITMO.NEWS, they shared their impressions from their first-ever visit to Russia.
