  • A Semester in a New City: DVIZH Academic Mobility Program Kicks Off at ITMO

    Students can now study for a semester at one of the five participating universities in Russia with the new DVIZH academic mobility program. In total, 184 applications from 130 students were submitted, and this fall ITMO will welcome 50 students from Moscow universities, while 14 ITMO.Family members will spend a semester in the capital.     In collaboration with University 20.35, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and other universities, ITMO has launched online courses for professional training in AI which will allow ITMO students, graduates, and staff to learn more about analytics, predictive modeling, and AI architecture. A major part of each student’s tuition fee (up to 85,000 rubles) will be covered by the government.

  • ITMO Physicists Create Unclonable Anti-Counterfeiting Silicon Labels

    Scientists from ITMO University developed unclonable anti-counterfeiting labels, which are based on silicon nanoparticles modified with a laser. It’s impossible to change the color, structure, and location of the particles: these parameters are random, which makes the label safe from counterfeiting. In order to check if it’s authentic, all you need to do is upload its picture into a special program.
