At the Olympic Finals, Kirill Grigoryan got 187.3 points. Henri Junghänel and Kim Jong-hyun, shooters from Germany and South Korea surpassed the Russian medalist and took 1st and 2nd places, respectively. In the qualification round, Kirill Grigoryan set the Olympic Record, 629 points.
"I am very happy to get such a result," noted Mr. Grigoryan in his interview to LIFE78 news portal. "However I wish I got 2nd place. When I did my last shots my emotions let me down. It only seems that we are keeping calm, but in fact we are full of excitement. The emotions overtook me and I did two wrong shots."
Kirill Grigoryan won lots of prizes. He became a winner at the ISSF World Cup 2015, the World Cup 2015 finalist and received the silver medal at the 2015 Summer Universiade. The Olympic champion trains under the guidance of his father, Akop Grigoryan. In 2014 Kirill Grigoryan graduated from the Chair of Secure Information Technologies with honors.
As of now, the medal table of Russia has 20 medals - 4 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze ones. According to the Olympic Medal Count 2016, Russia is now on the 9th place.
