Grand Chess Fest

Description

On September 8,  St. Petersburg is hosting the Grand Chess Fest, a Russia-wide celebration for all chess lovers. 

Featuring Russian and international star chess players, the event will include high-level tournaments, individual games, lectures and workshops, as well as lots of entertainment, tasty food, and live music.

Whether you are a professional player or an amateur, a business representative looking for opportunities to amp up the company's team spirit or a parent wanting to introduce their kid to the game, the Grand Chess Fest has something for you. Participants will get a chance to cross swords with the leading chess masters, attend their lectures to develop their chess skills, win valuable prizes in chess tournaments, and enjoy the company of like-minded chess aficionados.

Peter Svidler, international grandmaster, World Cup champion, three-time European Champion, eight-time Champion of Russia; 

Ernesto Inarkiev, international grandmaster, 2016 European champion;

Sergey Shipov, international grandmaster, chess commentator, chess couch, content creator at the Crestbook Youtube channel;

Konstantin Sakaev, international grandmaster, two-time winner of the Chess Olympiad as part of the Russian national team;
