ITMO.EXPERT: Results and Plans for the Future

The results of a series of workshops for teachers, organized as part of the ITMO.EXPERT project, have been summed up. The project aimed at helping teachers use digital technology in their work and make the educational process more effective.

During the spring, ITMO University’s teachers shared knowledge, gave and listened to lectures and finally met together to discuss the results of the first part of the program.

More than 100 people took part in the project’s 27 workshops. The participants had nine modules to choose from, including e-learning tools, game-based learning, motivation strategies, project management, teamwork, etc.

Aliya Bagautdinova, head of the Department of Academic Affairs at ITMO University, thanked the participants for their contribution and awarded them professional development certificates. Ms. Bagautdinova noted that this project is a step towards the implementation of ITMO.CODE.

This final meeting did not only complete the first part of the project but also started the next one, which would be impossible without common values, joint efforts and plans for the future.

During the meeting, all the participants were invited to take part in a brainstorming session and share their thoughts on how they see the future of ITMO.EXPERT and what topics they are interested in.

As it turned out, among the most relevant topics are the development of online courses, motivation strategies, effective interaction with students, and student group work. All of the opinions will be taken into account when deciding what courses should be included in the second part of the program.

Apart from introducing the new topics and modules, the coordinators of the project plan to invite new international lecturers and include new modern workshop formats, e.g. webinars.

ITMO.EXPERT will continue functioning during the summer holidays. Follow the project on social media:
