• IT for Big Business: Joint Corporate Master’s Program by ITMO University and T-Systems

  What IT specialists are now in demand by major companies? How to start working on a real-world project while still at university? Is it possible to partake in an internship at an international company during the first semester of your Master’s studies? ITMO University students discussed these and other questions at a meeting with the representatives of the international company T-Systems, which is part of the German group Deutsche Telekom. Starting from this year, ITMO is implementing a joint corporate Master’s program with the Russian branch of the company, T-Systems Russia. ITMO.NEWS spoke with the heads of the program and T-Systems specialists to learn more about its education process, the kind of specialists it trains and the opportunities it offers to students.

• Self-Driving Cars and Smart Cities: 2019 Summer Schools in Madrid

  Every year, dozens of universities both in Russia and abroad organize summer schools for students, which provide them with a unique opportunity to acquire new knowledge and familiarize themselves with a new culture. ITMO University students often take part in such events thanks to a student mobility program that covers up to 70% of all travel expenses. This year, several Bachelor’s and Master’s students went to the Technical University of Madrid, one of the biggest technical universities in Spain, where they attended lectures and worked in a laboratory. The students shared their experiences with ITMO.NEWS.

• International Research Summer Camp in Photonics at ITMO University

  From May 27 to June 7, ITMO University hosted the International Research Summer Camp in Photonics. The event brought together students from Iran, India, the Czech Republic, Finland and Russia, who listened to lectures and worked on their own research projects in the field of photonics.
