  • Finding Nanoparticles: ITMO Scientists Propose New Method for Discovering Nanomaterials With Desired Properties

    Researchers from ITMO’s ChemBio Cluster have devised an algorithm that can automatically detect the properties of nanoparticles, including their size, shape, and surface structure, based on their images and even sketches and find similar particles in its database. The novel system also works the other way around by informing users how to produce substances with the desired properties.   • ITMO & Australian Scientists Contribute to Latest Nanophotonics Review

    ​The recent review by members of ITMO’s International Research Center for Nanophotonics and Metamaterials and their foreign colleagues is a detailed classification of the latest results in the field of creating light-adjusted nanostructures from different materials. Such nanostructures and the respective methods for controlling light can have a wide application in recording optical information and ultrafast processing of signals. The report will be published in the annual release of the Laser&Photonics Reviews magazine

  • Project Session at Sirius: Implants, Security and Nano-Shampoo

  • ITMO and VNIIM Develop Joint Master's Program in Metrology

    This summer, ITMO University and the Mendeleev National Research Institute of Metrology (VNIIM) have put out a call for applicants to a Master’s degree program in “Standardization and Metrology in High-Tech Industry”. The new Master’s program, developed by specialists from ITMO and VNIIM, consists of 20 highly specific subjects that exist on the intersection of math, computer science, physics, chemistry, economics and ecology.
