  • ITMO Associate Professor Anastasia Pavlova On Teaching, Social Media, and Participation in Women’s Competition

    Anastasia Pavlova, a lecturer at ITMO’s Faculty of Biotechnologies, was nominated for the Top Women 2020 award in Consulting, Education, and Business Training. The competition’s jury included Irina Khakamada, a public figure, Lyasan Utiasheva, the winner of the 2001 World Cup in rhythmic gymnastics, and Vlad Lisovets, a TV host.     On December 13, the online stage of the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) Northern Eurasia competition took place. The team from ITMO University placed second and will now go on to participate in the offline stage of the competition. Its ultimate prize will be the opportunity to represent their university in the finals of the international student programming competition ICPC-2021.

  • Russian Teams Took First and Third Place at Sports Hacking Competition CyBRICS 2020

    This is the second time that the international tournament has been held. Because of the pandemic, the 2020 competition was organized in a simplified way: there was one online round for everyone wishing to participate. CyBRICS 2020 also broke last year’s record in terms of the number of participants: it brought together almost 1,500 teams from all over the world, with 786 of them scoring better than zero. Thus, CyBRICS remains the largest sports hacking competition organized by a Russian institution.
