On Saturday, September 30, the Coffee & Jazz Festival will be held in Pavlovsk - one of St. Petersburg’s famous suburban towns. Autumn is one of the best times to visit the historic museum complex – and what could be better than strolling through picturesque scenery and enjoying the smooth sound of jazz? Well, maybe having a cup of hot coffee while doing it! This festival is a great way to take a breather from the city and make some fond memories, so be sure not to miss it.

Another event that any coffee person would enjoy is the Coffee Festival, which will take place at the Loft Project ETAGI on Sunday, and feature various lectures, workshops and, surely, lots of coffee! Try the many flavors of your favorite drink and learn the secrets to brewing the best coffee every morning.

If you’re looking for something more spectacular to do, October 1 will mark the opening of the SOBYTIE International Festival of Visual and Performing Arts. The event will be held at different sites throughout St. Petersburg - theatres, street venues and cinemas, and feature all kinds of small-scale events dedicated to three topics: theatre, short films, and photography. For more detailed information, check the festival’s website (available in English).

On the same day, the EARLYMUSIC Festival will also host its first events; this most original, yet totally classical experience is meant to acquaint the modern public with 15-18 century music. Renowned Russian and foreign musicians will perform various musical pieces, from early medieval music to Renaissance and Baroque, in a most authentic manner; each concert will take place in the historic entourage of St. Petersburg’s numerous palaces and mansions.

Well, that’s it for this week! Best regards, ITMO.NEWS.
