Alexander Kapitonov, a teaching fellow for the Department of Computer Science and Control Systems, shared that 4 documents are to be applied for entering the contest: an official academic record, a recommendation from ITMO University and a motivational letter, and also an application form. The documents have to be sent until the end of November.

"ITMO University has international educational programs in English; those are mostly about Computer Science and its related fields. This gives students additional opportunities to participate in research under supervision of world-class scientists, and later — in internships at foreign universities", explains Alexander Kapitonov.

The selection will follow several criteria. Academic performance will be the top priority. The minimal medial score (GPA) has to be no less than 4.0 out of 5. Also, the participants will have to align a new curriculum for the time of the exchange program. Amongst other criteria are academic and research potential of the student, his motivation and language skills, as all programs in Innopolis are in English.

The curriculum for the exchange semester will include five subjects — both mandatory and elective. The students will have an opportunity to get credit for this exchange program back at ITMO.
