“Viva la Vida: Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera”, one of the most anticipated art events of the year, is now open in the Fabergé Museum! The first exhibition of the artists’ works of such scale in Russia, it features over 100 paintings, drawings and lithographs, telling the story of Frida Kahlo’s life and art, and the complex relationship between the two iconic Mexican artists. At the core of the exhibition are the most famous Frida Kahlo’s pieces: The Broken Column, Henry Ford Hospital, and Self-Portrait With Monkey, accompanied by over a hundred photographs and a series of documentaries covering different periods of the couple’s lives. The exhibition is open till May 19 from 10am to 9pm (from 10am to 10pm on Friday). Entrance tickets cost 450 rubles on weekdays and 600 rubles at weekends (200 and 300 rubles for students) and can be purchased here.

Can’t get enough of art? Check out an exhibition of St. Petersburg’s artist Dmitry Kustanovich works, hosted by the Kustanovich gallery from March 7 till May 31. Marine landscapes, depictions of the ever-rainy St. Petersburg, golden church domes, and delicate flower blossoms – Kustanovich’ paintings have it all. The exhibition is open daily from midday to 8pm. Admission is free.

Great news for classical music aficionados out there! This Sunday, March 24, St. Isaac’s Cathedral hosts a concert of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s music to commemorate the 175th birthday of the renowned Russian composer. Listen to a handbells symphony, visit an exhibition of Rimsky-Korsakov’s personal items, and admire the majestic beauty of St. Petersburg’s biggest cathedral. The concert commences at 7pm. Entrance is free.

Travel to the world’s most popular destinations, drive a sports car, take part in a shooting competition, fight with a lightsaber, view the best works of art from the inside, and even go to space at the Virtual Reality World exhibition at the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications. The exhibition kicks off on March 23 and will last till April 7. The museum is open for visitors from 11am to 8pm. Entrance ticket costs 350 rubles.
