NatureJobs Career Expo is a worldwide career resource for scientists. This year more than 1, 500 job seekers from different countries got together in Düsseldorf, Germany. Usually participants visit the Expo so as to meet with employers face-to-face. Every year universities, labs, research centers and companies attract new employees. Such large enterprises as European Cooperation in Science and Technology, Kelly Scientific Resource, KPMG AG, L’Oréal Research & Innovation presented their job vacancies at NatureJobs Career Expo 2015. This year higher education field was represented by four universities such as Technical University of Denmark, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, University of East Anglia and ITMO University, which was the only Russian representative at this meeting.

“We aimed to share the opportunities given by ITMO University as well as career development that one can obtain here,” noted Stanislav Kushelev, head of HRM and Fundraising Department. “Having visited NatureJobs Career Expo we discovered that a lot of job seekers not only heard about ITMO University, but also were ready to join our team.”

International visitors appreciated ITMO University Fellowships program, which aimed to attract gifted researchers from all over the world so as to develop joint research activities.

“I should mention that we presented a variety of research directions. All candidates managed to choose the most appropriate ones,” said Olga Rodionova, head of Recruitment Office of HRM Department of ITMO University.  “Biomedicine and chemistry were the most popular fields. Thus we are waiting for a lot of international newcomers.”
