Competition of RSF and DFG to support international research groups

The Russian Science Foundation is accepting applications for an annual joint competition with the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) to support international research groups (RSF 54). 

Within the framework of RSF 54, the foundations will support fundamental and exploratory research conducted by international groups. 

The RSF grant awards will range from four to six million rubles annually. 

The projects need to be conducted within three years (from 2022 till 2024). 

Applications will be accepted until 5 pm (GMT+3) December 14, 2020. 

The results of the competition will be announced in October, 2021. 

To participate in the competition, you have to apply via ISU: Центр приложений (Application Center) -> СППД/Руководитель проекта (Head of Project) -> Заявка (Application) -> Подать заявку (File an application). Heads of projects have to email preliminary versions of their applications (in *.pdf format) for verification to the head of the Office of Information Support of Open Tenders for State and Municipal Needs no later than December 7, 2020. 

Please note that since December 16, 2019, due to the transition to electronic workflow between ITMO University and the Russian Science Foundation, the procedure for preparing and submitting applications for competitions for grants from the Russian Science Foundation has changed. The documents specified in the regulations must be submitted to the Office of Information Support of Open Tenders for State and Municipal Needs during office hours no later than 5 pm December 11, 2020.
