The aim of the project is to tell concisely and substantively about the major periods of life, work and social activity of great and talented actress.The opening of a virtual museum is scheduled for late 2016.Web site of the project will be available in three languages: Russian, French and English.
The virtual gallery will include photo images, personal letters of the actress, archival documents, expert commentary, and other materials provided by the St. Petersburg State Museum of Theatre and Music and the Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum in Moscow.
On the exhibition, the concept of a virtual museum was presented by Artem Smolin, the head of the Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics and Donatella Gavrilovic, the representative of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
"Virtual museum is a special environment, which presents digital versions of two-dimensional and three-dimensional exhibits. This is a unique opportunity to actualize history in the global virtual space. The museum offers a modern man an affordable tool for immersion in a particular field of knowledge and creative perception and analysis of the most diverse spheres of culture," Artem Smolin says.
The joint project of a virtual museum has been made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Russian and Italian universities with the Fondazione Giorgio Cini.The graduation work of Ekaterina Korabelnikova, the master of the Multimedia technologies in the art of theater, film and television program became the basis for the project, with the technical support of the staff of the Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics of ITMO University.
