March, 28-29, 2014 the international seminar "Application of experience in the formation of the entrepreneurial University and commercialization of scientific developments" was held at the campus of the far Eastern Federal University on Russian island.

The workshop was supported by the U.S. Russia Foundation for economic and legal development with participation of representatives of leading Russian and American entrepreneurial universities, including two universities-the hub of the pilot phase of the program EUREKA ITMO University and N. I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod and the Massachusetts Institute of technology, National research technological University "MISIS", SKOLKOVO Institute of science and technology, Higher school of Economics.

The Fund "New Eurasia" and the American councils for international education shared experience in implementing projects to promote and support innovative and entrepreneurial activities of universities of the Russian Federation and the United States.

The main theme of the first day of the workshop was the experience of creation and development of the entrepreneurial University in the United States and Russia.
During the second day of the workshop representatives of the ITMO University took part in the session of the "Program of the U.S. Russia Foundation for economic and legal development (USRF) as a tool for effective development of research and entrepreneurial capacity of Russian universities".

The staff of the ITMO University were conducted trainings for the participants of the seminar:

  • Seminar-training "Development of marketing plan of the innovative project. How to prepare an innovative product to a successful sale and to ensure its access to markets" (Sergey Mel’chenko, Director of the Institute of Innovation);
