The conference fused together 414 experts from 36 countries such as India, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Lebanon and others.

Mandy Mok, CEO of QS Asia, said in her opening speech that this conference gave wonderful opportunity to promote promising universities. The main target of “QS Worldwide” participants from Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe is to discuss development strategies of universities. Thanks to this conference leading education experts from different countries connect with each other organizing new international projects.

“According to recent results of QS rankings Russian Universities show excellent results,” said Alexandr Povalko, Minister of Education and Science of Russia. “The most successful universities develop their competitive strengths.”

The program of QS Worldwide plenary session included following presentations: a UNN expert shared how to become a successful university at global education market using innovative research. A representative of Higher School of Economics shared effective methods of international students` attraction. A speaker from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University presented training programs taught in English. Daria Kozlova, ITMO University Vice Rector for International Relations, made a report called «From Visual Changes to Internal Transformations

“Following modern trends we develop all areas at the same time. So our basic principle is balanced growth. It requires joint efforts and complex approach. All these rules are followed by ITMO University team. We sure that international promotion of ITMO University is our fundamental value. Thanks to well coordinated work and creative approach we succeed in it,” noted Ms. Kozlova.

ITMO University presentation also included a movie where a bicycle became a symbol of its development. Dynamic, flexibility, balance, and strong, but at the same time simple mechanism reflect the most important principles of ITMO University. Moreover, a bicycle race is a traditional ITMO University`s activity, which brings together its students and staff under the leadership of rector Vladimir Vasilyev.

“Preparing for every public speech we develop unique presentations,” said Anna Veklich, Head of Strategic Communications Department. “A presentation will be effective even if it contains detailed information about all activities of a university.”

Currently QS Worldwide participants discuss global higher education trends such as methods of international students` attraction, development of international research centers based on universities, innovative projects and so on.
