On 4 of February, 2014 in Technopark of the NRU ITMO the Department of Geoinformation Systems together with MathWorks company held a seminar on the use of MATLAB for development of complex algorithms.
Developers of algorithms and programmers often face with complex and often time-consuming calculations. In implementing of these computations in programming languages mistakes are inevitable, and testing is difficult because of the complexity of the software product.
During the workshop, the following questions were discussed:
- Using of MATLAB in the design of algorithms
- Deployment of MATLAB algorithms
- Testing of algorithms
- Quality assurance
- Interaction of the algorithm developers.
The seminar was attended by students, engineers, programmers, developers of algorithms, project managers, specialists in software quality assurance from various organizations.
Nicholas Filaretov, the engineer of MathWorks department, the graduate of the University of Information Technologies in the specialty "Management and Informatics in Technical Systems", was the speaker.
