"New Energy-Efficient Materials and Wearable Devices" Lecture by Yang Bai, Professor at Oulu University

+GoingYou'll be the first

Description

The lecture will be devoted to new autonomous energy-efficient materials and wearable devices. The scientist came to Petersburg to give a two-week course “Intellectual materials and devices potentially useful for the light industry” to undergraduates of the international program “Light Design”.

Dr. Yang Bai received a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the National Tianjin University of China, a Ph.D. in metallurgy and materials at the University of Birmingham. In 2016, he received an individual scholarship named after Maria Sklodowska-Curie as part of the European Union's research and innovation program Horizon 2020.

At the moment, the scientist is exploring self-sufficient low-power sensor systems in the microelectronics division of the University of Oulu (Finland). He is an elected member of the IOP (Institute of Physics) UK. The area of ??scientific interests of Yang Bai is multifunctional perovskites, photoelectroelectrics, ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials for intelligent technologies for measuring and collecting energy.
