"Mendeleev 150" 4th International Conference on the Periodic Table Endorsed by IUPAC

This conference will contribute to the international recognition of the great Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev and focus on recognizing the importance of chemistry and the advances in research and discovering on the periodic table for sustainable development and the benefit of humankind.

The conference will feature speeches by British chemist, professor of chemistry at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Peter Atkins (author of many popular textbooks on chemistry, including Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Molecular Quantum Mechanics); Evolutionary Biologist David Seaborg (University of San Francisco, USA), Professor of Physics and Director of the RIKEN BNL Research Center Hideto Enyo, Professor Pekka Pyykko (University of Helsinki, Finland). Also among the speakers will be a Russian theoretical crystallographer and professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Artem Oganov.

On the third day of the conference there will be a centurion celebration of IUPAC. The opening speech will be delivered by Natalya Tarasova, ex-president of IUPAC.

The conference is open to students, graduate students, young scientists, researchers and schoolchildren of Russia and the world.
