Description

Starting from November 27, ITMO Fellow and leading research associate at the University's Terahertz Biomedicine laboratory Ilya Anoshkin (PhD) will give a series of lectures on 'Carbon nanomaterials for the photonics and electronics'.

In his lectures, the scientist will discuss the topical question of using carbon nanomaterials (such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, and graphene-filled composites) for developing new-generation electronic devices. He will also cover the electronic and optical properties of carbon nanomaterials.

The series will consist of the following lectures:

  1. Graphitic carbon, diamond, fullerenes;
  2. Carbon Nanotubes;
  3. Graphene;
  4. Nanodiamonds;
  5. Chemistry of carbon nanomaterials;
  6. Composites with the carbon nanomaterials;
  7. High resolution microscopy methods;
  8. Electron microscopy methods: TEM, SEM, STEM;
  9. Optical properties of carbon nanomaterials;
  10. Electronic structure of carbon nanomaterials.

The lectures will be held from 3.30 to 5.30 pm on Tuesdays starting from November 27 at ITMO University.
